The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
